what nourishes you in your job as a stylist?
it's a bit about everything that surrounds us, I think I'm lucky to live in a culturally rich environment. When we live in big cities, everything is within our reach.

how did you get into this profession?
I always wanted to do this, but I wasn't immediately able to find a stylist to assist. for 4 years, I did production and casting at art partner and I really liked it. It was then that I met Marie Amélie Sauve with whom I worked for 8 years… I only have good memories. I have the feeling of having attended a great school, it developed my taste, it refined me.

who are the people or artists who constitute references for you?
around 1996, when I was a teenager, it was the great era of Martin Margiela, Helmut Lang etc... I admit that they have since remained strong references for me. as for photographers or artists, i would say david sims, corinne day, wolfgang tillmans, and cindy sherman. but for each period or season, I find that an artist stands out more… last season I was very interested in William Eggleston and his photos of people walking in the streets of New York. and at the moment I watch a lot of Robert Mapplethorpe, David Armstrong…

if you had to name just one designer?
it’s not easy… there are several and each for a specific reason. Martin Margiela for his freedom of thought, Helmut Lang for his radicalism, Nicolas Guesquière at Balenciaga and Junya Watanabe for their subtle avant-garde, and Raf Simons because he remains so modern through so many years.

and what do you think of john galliano at margiela?
I would simply say that I find margiela difficult without margiela.

the city that inspires you or that resembles you?
Paris, obviously. I'm lucky to live in an incredible city with real culture and history. That being said, I am very attracted to Los Angeles and London. I love Los Angeles for its light and the feeling of freedom that emanates from it, and London and the English for their style. for example, it is the images of hugh holland or ryan mc ginley that attract me, and reflect for me this solar spirit and this freedom... in london, these are personalities ranging from david bailey to tracey emin, via mick jagger and david hockney who, for me, describe a style very specific to england.

how would you define your way of living?
very classic: a husband, two children. fashion is obviously more than a job since I have the chance to pursue an activity that fascinates me, but otherwise I have a very classic life.

a favorite place to usually find yourself?
In Paris, but I don't have a routine, I have an office that I almost never go to... I travel a lot for work.

What is the false idea that everyone has of the job of stylist?
that it is a glamorous and easy job. the first years as an assistant are really trying. there is a working method, a culture specific to the profession, the need to be constantly informed, curious… as with many other professions.

your biggest challenge achieved or to be achieved as a stylist?
not long ago i fulfilled a dream working with david sims.
“fashion is obviously more than a job since I have the chance to pursue an activity that fascinates me, but otherwise I have a very classic life. »
your ritual in your job?
I don't have any rituals. I try to get superstitions out of my daily life.

the fashion that annoys you today?
I wish Instagram was less important. there are obviously virtues, it's a beautiful search engine but it has clearly changed the entire industry and it has become an essential tool. I sometimes feel like my job is to produce images for Instagram...

your favorite object? how much does he weigh ?
It's a little embarrassing but I don't have a favorite object... maybe my necklaces. one with a diamond plier that was found by my grandmother, a necklace given to me by my husband, the medal of one of my daughters and a shell necklace bargained for on the beach this summer! on the other hand I have no idea of their weight…

what has weight in your life?
my family.

your objects per gram, what are they? how do you wear them?
I have several bracelets: the 15g smooth polished, the 23g polished pyramid guilloché and the 13g polished vertical guilloché, all in 925 silver. I wear them all the time, and together, I like to accumulate them.

Finally, how would you define style on le gramme?
minimal, refined, and radical. very much like Adrien and Erwan.
